    • How to Manage a Break Lease in Reapit PM
    1. Click on People. 2. Click on Tenant. 3. Search and Select the Tenant. 4. From the Tenant file, click on Edit. 5. Enter the vacate date that the tenant is required to pay up to. Click Save & View 6. The Tenancy will update and now display a vacate workflow to be completed. 7. Alternatively, if the tenant agreement is currently in the Lease Renewal Workflow, updating the tenant intention to vacate will display the vacate lease option allowing you to set the proposed vacate date. 8. Add a pinned note to the tenancy with the details on the break lease and any important information. You can make any changes to the note as required through the Notes tab. 9. Once you have a new Tenant for the property, update the original tenants vacate date to the day before the new agreement commences so you can update the rent owing to the last day. 10. Be sure to process any outstanding invoices or rent payments. Reapit PM will not allow you to receipt past the vacate date so if you have any additional funds remaining you will need to receipt them in to tenant deposit and return the funds to the tenant. Proceed with completing the Vacate Workflow when you are ready to finalise the original tenancy.
