Installing the PM Inspect mobile app and using it to complete inspections on site, including offline.

    Overview

PM Inspect is the companion mobile app for Reapit PM. Property managers use it to complete routine, ingoing and outgoing inspections on site, with photos and comments syncing back to Reapit PM automatically. This article covers:

    • Installing and signing in
    • Downloading your inspection run
    • Completing an inspection on site
    • Working offline and syncing

    Installing and signing in

    1. Download Reapit PM Inspect from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
    2. Open the app and sign in with your Reapit Connect credentials — the same login you use for Reapit PM.
    3. Allow camera and photo permissions when prompted. The app cannot capture inspection photos without them.

    Downloading your inspection run

    1. Inspections scheduled to you in Reapit PM appear automatically on the app's Today screen.
    2. Select Download all before leaving the office. This caches each property's rooms, previous inspection photos and checklist so they are available without mobile coverage.
    3. Inspections are listed in time order. Select the map icon to see the run as a route.

    Completing an inspection on site

    1. Open the inspection and work through each room in the checklist.
    2. Take photos directly in the app — they are stamped with the date and time, and attach to the room you have open.
    3. Rate each item and add comments where attention is needed. Previous inspection photos can be viewed side by side for comparison.
    4. If you find an issue that needs action, select Create maintenance request from within the room. The request is pre-filled with the photos and comments.
    5. Select Complete when every room is done. You can capture the tenant's signature on screen if they are present.

Tip: Use the voice-to-text button in any comment field — it is significantly faster than typing on site.

    Working offline and syncing

    1. The app works fully offline once an inspection run is downloaded. Photos and responses are stored on the device.
    2. When the device regains coverage or Wi-Fi, completed inspections upload automatically. The sync icon in the top-right corner shows pending uploads.
    3. Once synced, the inspection report is generated in Reapit PM and appears under the property record ready for review and sending.

Note: Do not delete the app while inspections show as pending upload — unsynced data is stored only on the device and cannot be recovered.
