How to Create Agreements from Approved Applications

How to generate a tenancy agreement in Reapit Forms directly from an approved tenancy application.

    Reapit FormsUpdated 2026-07-19

    Overview

When a tenancy application is approved, Reapit Forms can generate the tenancy agreement directly from the application, carrying across the applicant, property and tenancy details without re-keying. This article covers:

    • Where approved applications appear
    • Creating the agreement
    • Reviewing pre-filled details
    • Sending the agreement for signing

    Where approved applications appear

    1. Sign in to Reapit Forms and select Applications from the left-hand menu.
    2. The list shows applications received from your connected application platform, such as 2Apply.
    3. Filter by Approved status to see applications ready for an agreement.

Note: Applications appear here only when the application integration is enabled for your office. If the menu item is missing, ask your administrator to check office settings.

    Creating the agreement

    1. Open the approved application and review the summary panel — approved applicants, property, rent and requested lease term.
    2. Select Create agreement in the top-right corner.
    3. Choose the agreement form for your state (the correct current version is selected by default) and select Create.

    Reviewing pre-filled details

The agreement opens with details carried across from the application:

    1. Check the tenant details — all approved applicants are added as tenants; remove any who will not be on the lease.
    2. Confirm the rent amount, payment frequency, bond amount and lease start and end dates.
    3. Add any special conditions. Office defaults are already included; insert optional ones from the picker.
    4. Select Save when the review is complete.

Tip: Details from the application are a starting point, not a source of truth. Confirm the negotiated rent and term against your notes — an applicant may have applied at the advertised rent before negotiating.

    Sending the agreement for signing

    1. Select Send for signing.
    2. Confirm each tenant's email address, and add the lessor as a signer if your workflow requires their signature.
    3. Select Send. Signing progress is tracked under My Forms › Awaiting signature, and the application status updates to Agreement sent.
