Managing Users in Reapit Connect
How administrators create, edit and deactivate user accounts and manage product access in Reapit Connect.
Overview
User management in Reapit Connect is where administrators create accounts, grant product access and offboard departing staff. Changes made here apply across every Reapit product. This article covers:
- Creating a new user
- Granting product access
- Editing a user's details
- Deactivating a user
Administrator or Master User access is required for all steps.
Creating a new user
- Sign in to the Reapit Connect admin portal and navigate to Users.
- Select + New User.
- Enter the user's full name and work email address. The email address becomes their sign-in name, so use their individual address, never a shared inbox.
- Assign the user to one or more offices.
- Select Create and invite. The user receives an activation email valid for 7 days.
Granting product access
- Open the user's profile and select the Products tab.
- Toggle on each product the user needs — for example, Reapit Sales, Reapit Forms and Reapit Proposals.
- For each enabled product, choose a role (such as Agent, Property Manager or Administrator). Roles control what the user can do inside that product.
- Select Save. Access takes effect at the user's next sign-in.
Note: Product access may affect licensing counts. Adding a user to a product can add a licence to your subscription — check with your account manager if you are unsure of your plan's inclusions.
Editing a user's details
- Open the user's profile from the Users list.
- Update their name, email address or office assignments as needed, then select Save.
- Changing the email address updates their sign-in name immediately; the user keeps their password and history.
- Use Resend invitation for users who never activated, or Send password reset for users locked out.
Deactivating a user
When a staff member leaves:
- Open their profile and select Deactivate user, then confirm.
- All active sessions end within a few minutes and the user can no longer sign in to any Reapit product.
- The user's records, notes and audit history remain in each product, attributed to their name.
- Reassign their listings, managements or tasks inside each product — deactivation does not reassign work.
Tip: Deactivate on the person's last working day as part of your offboarding checklist, alongside email and building access. Deactivation is reversible if they return.
